Field Hunting

Here at 4 Mile we have great field hunting with varying terrain. There are flat grass fields, steep brushy washes, and sage brush fields. When your dog goes on point and that big rooster flushes, that will be a memory you will never forget. Whether you are an experienced hunter or an enthused first timer this is the place to come and hunt upland game. The pheasants and chukars raised here at 4 Mile are long feathered and hard flying birds that are sure to please.
European Hunts

Our European Hunts are made to simulate the driven hunts for the kings in Europe. This was where the commoners would drive the birds to a hedge. On the other side of the hedge were the shooters that would shoot the birds as they fly over them. Our European shoot is very similar to this, we have shooters in a large circle around our release station. During these hunts there are anywhere from 150-500 birds released for lots of shooting and great fun. These hunting packages also include bird processing and fine dinning. (This hunt requires a minimum of 10 shooters and can have up to 20.)
Chukar Hunt Trials

Many of you think of hunting trials as a highly competitive sport consisting of dog(s), shooter(s), and judge(s). But here at 4 Mile we do them a little different. Yes, there are still dog(s) and shooter(s) but no judge(s). This is how they work, your team has 15 minutes to harvest 4 chukars with only 8 shells. Your team can consist of 2 people and 2 dogs. Your 4 chukars are released as you watch where they go to insure that every run is fair. Your fate lies in the bird's hands (or wings). Once your birds have been released you can then retrieve your gun(s)
and dog(s). The time starts when you or your dog crosses the line and ends
when you have the 4th bird in your hand. The team with the most birds, the least amount of shells shot, and the shortest time wins. Winners receive cash prizes.
